Yoga and Ayurveda Complement Each Other

Ayurveda yoga therapy can work together in order to maximize the benefits of both therapies. The Hindu tradition of medicine originated from the teachings of ancient Indian doctors, known as asrama shastra. Ayurveda is an application of these asrama shastra principles into a holistic healing approach. Yoga is a way of life which is practiced by millions of people around the world.

Although both yoga and drama shastra are systems that focus on improving health, they differ greatly in their teaching methods and the philosophies underlying them. Yoga stresses mental and physical relaxation. On the other hand, asrama shastra believes that disease is caused by an imbalance of energies. So, it believes that the body should be healed through yoga meditation. Both yoga and Ayurveda are excellent forms of treatment for those who suffer from problems that have an impact on their health.

Yoga and Ayurveda complement each other because the holistic aspects of each program make them complementary. Yoga aims to improve health through improved awareness and positive self-image. In addition, yoga helps in overall relaxation and a sense of well-being. However, asrama shastra focuses on improving energy, which it describes as moksha (purification). So, both yoga and Ayurveda help to improve health through improving the body and its connection with the universe.
